Raksha Mantri Trophy-2025
Sainik School Nagrota has brought immense pride to the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir by winning the prestigious Raksha Mantri Trophy-2025 for sending the highest percentage of cadets to the National Defence Academy (NDA) in NDA 154 Course.
The coveted trophy was presented to the Principal, Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia, by Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Sanjay Seth during the All India Principals’ Conference held at Sainik School Kazhakootam on 07 May 2026.
🥇During his address to the Principals of all Sainik Schools, the Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri congratulated and applauded Sainik School Nagrota for its outstanding achievement and exceptional contribution towards preparing future officers for the Armed Forces.
The Principal felicitated the winners with medals and certificates, appreciating their hard work and dedication. He also motivated all cadets to uphold the values of fair play, teamwork, and true sportsmanship both on and off the field.
This remarkable achievement marks a historic moment for the institution, reclaiming the honour after nearly 17 years, having last received it in 2009. The achievement reaffirms Sainik School Nagrota’s commitment towards grooming future leaders of the Armed Forces and contributing meaningfully to nation-building from Jammu & Kashmir.
In NDA 154 Course:
- 35 cadets cleared the UPSC NDA Written Examination
- 11 cadets successfully cleared the SSB Interview and secured impressive All India Ranks

The cadets have already joined National Defence Academy, contributing to the future officer cadre of the Indian Armed Forces.
Continuing this outstanding performance, two cadets have joined NDA 155 while six more cadets are set to join NDA 156 shortly.
Principal Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia congratulated the cadets, staff and parents for this exceptional accomplishment and reiterated the school’s commitment towards nurturing disciplined, confident and service-oriented youth.
