Visit of Brigadier D. N. Pandey to Sainik School Nagrota

Brigadier D. N. Pandey, Commander, NCC Group Headquarters Jammu, visited Sainik School Nagrota on 02 May 2026 for an interaction and review of NCC activities being undertaken by the cadets.

During his visit, Brig. Pandey was briefed on the school’s academic, co-curricular, and NCC-related activities in the Principal’s Office. He appreciated the holistic approach adopted by the institution in shaping disciplined and motivated future leaders.

The Group Commander took a comprehensive round of the campus and visited various ongoing project sites, expressing satisfaction with the infrastructure development and the learning environment being provided to the cadets. In a special ceremony, Brig. Pandey felicitated meritorious NCC cadets for their outstanding achievements, motivating them to strive for excellence and uphold the highest standards of discipline and commitment.

His gracious presence at the Cadets’ Mess during lunch served as a great source of inspiration for the cadets, further encouraging them to pursue a career in the Armed Forces and proudly don the olive green uniform. Brig. Pandey also interacted with the NCC staff and took valuable inputs regarding the challenges being faced by the NCC JD (I) Company at Sainik School Nagrota. He assured that all genuine concerns would be addressed promptly.

The visit proved to be highly motivating for both cadets and staff, reinforcing the importance of NCC in nation-building and leadership development.
